So being Ethan and Heather there sure were a lot of laughs on our trip! So should I tell you about
Ethan hitting me with the paddle ball ball first or me getting ambused with waves first?!
We traveled the "Road to Hana," but were disappointed to find the day before they had closed one of the bridges for repair so there was no access to the 7 sacred pools, which is a huge attaction. I was upset at first, but we still made the most of our day and had a great time. We went to some amazing beaches and hiked up to some beautiful waterfalls. On our journey we also went to the "Clothing Optional" beach. Yes we knew it going, but weren't aware pretty much only naked European men were the main attraction! Needless to say we didn't stay long. Don't worry we still managed to take some naked pictures of our own! This was also the day I got beat up by waves and my bottoms fell down and I got to give the spectators on the beach a nice full moon in the middle of the day! It was pretty embarrassing! Oh well!
We spent a lot of time snorkeling and just spending time at the beach everyday! It was so nice to just be there. Being on the beach everyday we spent a lot of time playing paddle ball. Well Ethan just had to get a little over zealous and whack the ball at me, which hit me in the belly and left a huge target welt. It was funny, but it did hurt. Luckily it only lasted about a day, but when I would get in the water it would kind of turn purple. I thought for sure I was going to have a black and blue bruise the rest of the trip. Abusive husband!
We also went up to Haleakala one morning to watch the sunrise, which was beautiful. We had to wake up at 2:30 AM to be there in time because the drive was long, but it was worth it! Although once was enough!
We also went to Molokini and Lanai on a snorkel trip where we saw dolphins, turtles and some really neat fish! We still need to finish off the water camera roll before I can post those pictures. Ethan thinks he got a pretty good picture of the dolphins while he was swimming, but you know how those cameras are, so we'll see!
The reason we went on this tropical vacation was to celebrate our 5 wonderful years of marriage!! So we decided to go to our Luao the night of our anniversary. It wasn't very romantic because we were at a big table with a bunch of strangers, but it was still a lot of fun!!
It was such a well needed vacation and now I'm taking reservations to see who wants to go with me when I go back? Anyone? I told Ethan I want to open a fudge shop there, but of course he starts off with the cost of starting it. I don't know why he can't just dream with me, he has to make it all realistic and everything! Sheesh! Let me dream!
All in all a fantastic vacation with the one I love! Ethan was even able to surf on the last day! So we did as much as we could in the time we could! Next time we go back we can do the 7 pools!
